The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) sets the standards that all early years providers must meet to ensure that children learn and develop well and are kept healthy and safe.

Key Person

Each child is assigned a key person within the nursery who will build relationships with you and help your child become familiar and feel safe and secure within the nursery.

Learning Journals

Each child will have a learning journal which your child’s key person will share with you on a regular basis. This will record your child’s progress, achievements and next steps. Your key person will help ensure that your child’s care is tailored to meet their individual needs and interests.

Parent’s contributions to these learning journals are crucial in supporting your child’s learning and development, we encourage parents to share their child’s achievements, interests and next steps at home with their key person and nursery.
